First port to the holiday cruise onboard the Norwegian Pearl finished today in Samana, Dominican Republic. The shortest day of the year started out great with partly cloudy skies that opened up to a beautiful day. We had guests out at Cayo Levantado, Caves & Mangroves by speedboat, ATVS, Jeeps and more (just to name a few). Quick advise, if you cruise to Samana, either book a ship sponsored tour or stay onboard. Trying to get around independently is difficult and the condition of the roads and town, may keep most cruise guests from enjoying the experience. By no means did today feel short, as we weighed anchored at 6:00pm sailing for St. Thomas, USVI.
