Once again it is that time of the season. Its the holidays and the time to reflect on another successful season, to celebrate the holiday season and to share with others that may not be so fortunate. Cruiselines all over the world embark on ports that we know are less fortunate and bring joy to hundreds of children each day. Today was no exception, as the Norwegian Spirit arrived to Roatan to spread the holiday joy to those who may not have a such a Merry Christmas.
The day started with a special visit with Santa Claus and the current Ms. Honduras as they were towed via a holiday sleigh from the Norwegian Spirit to the new Mahogany Bay terminal where the festivities happened.
NCL Spirit Officers, staff and crew assist with the gift giving to one of Roatan's local orphanage. A special ceremony and Rotary Club presentation was the highlight as the NCL Spirit Executive Chef Neil Allan accepted a Rotary special recognition for the event.
Wow. Its wonderful that NCL shared Christmas Spirit with some of Roatan's children. I saw the event photos on someone's Facebook page and looked like everyone was having a great time!
